Quite new to wine making. Bought another brand round about same price bracket. Turned out drinkable but just ok. Read somewhere if you add some extra grape juice it helps with taste. Bought rojo tinto from beaverdale. The result was fantastic. My wife likes a good wine and she says it’s every bit as good as a bottle of expensive wine. Gonna make another batch and I might give some out as gifts. Then again we might just drink itIan Devlin (Dec 18 2018, 13:37 PM)

Bought first batch a few months ago, extremely pleased with the results. Could drink it almost immediately after clearing, but definitely improves with a few weeks aging. I've tried many of the Beaverdale reds and this one is favourite with my family and friends. It even fools our local vine buffs, who could not believe it was made from a kit (when I eventually told them).Spike (Jul 01 2014, 11:11 AM)
I have now tried many many of the Beaverdale kits both red and white . This Rioja is perfect and very consistent . Lighter than most Rioja's but with the oak chips becomes quite rich. Will always purchase this variety and also the Beaverdale kits . We make white also and it is just as successful.chris hammond (Jun 05 2014, 19:08 PM)
This Rioja is fantastic! Made it once so far and was very impressed. Taste is equivalent to a 10-15 pound bottle of wine. Have had many great compliments from friends on it. Would definitely recommend adding the oak chippings. Looking forward to trying some more of these kits.BenJ (Dec 08 2013, 21:34 PM)
